The time has come! Marvel has unveiled the first full-length trailer for the highly anticipated Black Panther sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Guess what? It’s everything that fans have been waiting for. From the introduction of Shuri as the Black Panther to M’Baku addressing the stakes of what may go down, the trailer is nothing but 130 seconds of non-stop action. Not to be forgotten, the latest sneak peek offers insight into Marvel’s tribute to the late, great Chadwick Boseman.
“So much of the comics and that first movie is the world of Wakanda. Wakanda is a place to further explore with characters and different subcultures. This was always and initially the primary focus of the next story,” Marvel’s Kevin Feige said about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
“We’re not going to have a CG Chadwick and we’re not recasting T’Challa. [Director and writer] Ryan Coogler is working very hard right now on the script with all the respect and love and genius that he has, which gives us great solace, so it was always about furthering the mythology and the inspiration of Wakanda.”
Not only will the film honor those who the world has lost, but it will also welcome in a few new faces. Michaela Coel and Dominique Thorne have joined a star-studded cast that includes Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Danai Guirira and Letitia Wright. Unfortunately, Daniel Kaluuya will not be back for the second film, but the show must goe on. Check out the full-length trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever below.
