To top it all off, he finds himself coming out the victor in a surprising back-and-forth with Meek Mill. In the midst of this feud, Drake releases two diss records, “Charged Up” and “Back To Back.” “Charged Up” proved to be milder and shy. Then, he doubled back with the kill shot known as “Back To Back.” However, fans didn’t lose sight of two tracks he dropped in the midst of this feud — “Right Hand” and “Hotline Bling.”
Sure, “Hotline Bling” caught a lot of flack for its resemblance to D.R.A.M.’s breakout track, “Cha Cha,” but fans couldn’t deny it once the video dropped. Rocking his iconic red puffer jacket as he danced atop a set of lit-up stairs, the “Hotline Bling” video served as a reminder that Drake is as comedic in nature as he is calculated in speech. The song shot up the charts and proved to be one of the more memorable loosies in his catalog.
Nearly ten years removed from the song’s release, a number of artists, including Fabolous and Justin Bieber have tried their hand at remixing the track.
