BET will air a special tribute to the iconic producer and entrepreneur Andre Harrell on Sunday. Titled Mr. Champagne and Bubbles, the special will air commercial free on BET, BET James, BET Soul and Revolt TV. Throughout the night, Lee Daniels, Jamie Foxx, Mariah Carey, Chris Rock, Clarence Avant and many more will pay tribute to the late executive.
Harrell passed away earlier this month at the age of 59. Throughout his lifetime, Harrell was known as one of the most influential figures in music. During his career, he played an integral role in the success of Mary J. Blige, Heavy D and Guy. Most notably, he propelled the career of Sean “Diddy” Combs.
“I hope to God that you are all blessed to have someone in your life that loves you and believes in you like this man believed in me,” Combs wrote following the passing of Harrell.
“I’m going to miss him so much. I can’t even imagine life without Dre,” he added.
Mr. Champagne and Bubbles will air this Sunday at 7 p.m. on BET’s myriad of networks.
