Creighton Bluejays senior guard Baylor Scheierman has announced that he will return to the program for his fifth season. He is able to return for a fifth season due to the extra year of eligibility granted to players thanks to the impact the Coronavirus had on the 2020-21 college basketball season. Creighton had a good season last year and while they are losing some talent from that roster, keeping Scheierman for next season will be a huge win for the program. He will likely be near the top of the list for several Big East awards during the 2023-23 college basketball season.

This past season as a senior for the Creighton Bluejays, Baylor Scheierman averaged 12.8 points, 8,3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and one steal per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 42.4 percent and a three-point percentage of 36.4 percent. Creighton was an early favorite to compete for the 2023 NCAA Championship and while they did not win the title, they did have a fairly deep run last season. While the roster has had some turnover this offseason, keeping Scheierman means the team can stay competitive in the Big East next season. With their fifth-year senior leading the team, the Bluejays will still be a pretty good college basketball team.
