Bas has been on the road working over the past few months. Since releasing his 2018 project, Milky Way, Bas has been on the road everywhere from Maryland to Texas. During a recent run in California, Bas stopped at The Cruz Show on Power 106.
During the interview, Bas gave some insight about the state of Dreamville, touring and a possible Cardi B feature. As it pertains to the state of Dreamville, Bas said, “There’s definitely a tide turning. I feel it [turning] as far as the attention we’re garnering. I think it [comes from] the amount of success whether it’s me, J.I.D Ari Lennox [or] Earth Gang. You’re seeing a lot of our acts stepping out on their own. I think everything is clicking up.”
Later on, Bas spoke about his friend, J. Cole, and his new record, “Middle Child”. As it pertains to possible remix, Bas said that he’d love to see Cardi on that record or another Dreamville record. Bas noted, “I love Cardi. I think it’s definitely going to happen. Her and Cole met a few times and it was good energy. I think she just tweeted about ‘Middle Child’. Maybe she needs to get on the remix”.
