After releasing his fifth studio album, KOD, J. Cole is back with more surprises. This afternoon, the Fayetteville native took to Twitter to announce that the first ever Dreamville Festival would be held on September 15th at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, North Carolina. As of now, there’s no specific list of performers or set times for the festival. It can be assumed that the majority of the Dreamville roster which includes Bas, Ari Lennox, Cozz, J.I.D., Lute, Omen and Earth Gang, would be on the bill with the label’s head man. Tickets can now be purchased online for as low as $49 via the festival’s official site, DreamvilleFest.com
The announcement of the tour comes on the heels of the release of Cole’s two newest videos for “ATM” and “Kevin’s Heart”. Cole also announced that a deluxe version of KOD with songs that didn’t make the initial cut will be released in the near future. Best of all, Cole recently responded to questions about his next album, The Fall Off, by simply stating that he’s working on it.

In the meantime, be sure to check out the album that Rolling Stone calls “a tough, rewarding meditation on addiction.” KOD is available on all major streaming platforms.
