Baron Davis is on a mission to deliver some holiday cheer. The former NBA star and a few of your favorite songwriters and producers came together to create a Christmas classic with the Winter Wonderland.
Davis’s company BlackSanta released the Winter Wonderland mixtape on Friday, December 8. The tape is available to stream online.

The Black Santa Company, which was created in 2016, has an agenda to help those in need and to spread diversity.

Winter Wonderland is exciting in the way that it mixes the currently trending hip-hop sound with many of the Holiday classic. The songs are performed by characters from BlackSanta created by Davis.

“I created all the characters and their profiles on how they function in the world,” he says. “The team went out with producers to adopt these characters and own them through music. My thought was what’s the best way for us to express this music and not be so genre specific? That’s through animation.”
A percentage of the revenue from the mixtape sales will be donated to local LA charities and communities. This only a portion of how Davis will use this month to give back to the local community.
