The first event of 2020 NBA All-Star Saturday Night did not disappoint, as fans were treated to a surprise after all the big men won the first round of the Skills Challenge. The championship round came down to Indiana Pacers’ forward Domantas Sabonis and Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo. Adebayo would go on to win the 2020 NBA Skills Challenge after knocking down a three-pointer on his third attempt.

Prior to coming out on top over Sabonis, Adebayo beat former Skills Challenge champion Spencer Dinwiddie in the first round and Pascal Siakam in the second round.
In the final round, both Adebayo and Sabonis were relatively even throughout the challenge and it came down to their three-point attempts. Though neither of them are known for their perimeter stroke, Adebayo was able to knock it down after missing his first two attempts.
One of the brighter young big men in the entire NBA, it is Adebayo’s first time participating in the festivities during NBA All-Star Weekend. Adebayo will also play for Team Giannis in Sunday’s All-Star Game.
