Four years after season two left viewers with an emotional cliffhanger, Atlanta is set to return for a third season. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the show’s third installment will debut on March 24, 2022.
“We are thrilled to have Atlanta back with a new season on March 24,” FX Entertainment President Eric Schrier said in a statement obtained by THR.
“Once again, Donald Glover, the producers and stellar cast have delivered another signature season synonymous with the excellence that makes Atlanta so great.”
As indicated by the season two finale, the show’s third season will follow Brian Tyree Henry’s character, Paperboy, as he tours Europe with his cousin, Earn, and friend, Darius. Meanwhile, questions have still been left unanswered about what Van will do with her and Earn’s daughter while he tours with Paperboy.
To get fans ready for the upcoming season, FX will reportedly debut new teasers for both Atlanta and Snowfall on Christmas Day. In the meantime, check out the first teaser for the new season of Atlanta that arrived earlier this year via Donald Glover’s Twitter account.
