After four seasons in Reno coaching at Nevada, Eric Musselman has moved on and been named the head coach at Arkansas. Musselman will replace Mike Anderson who was fired after eight seasons and three tournament appearances. Musselman equaled that amount of three tournament appearances in just four years at Nevada. That includes a surprise run to the Sweet 16 last year as a seven seed.
I am excited to officially announce the hiring of Eric Musselman as our new Head Coach for @RazorbackMBB. And to welcome his wife Danyelle, their daughter Mariah and sons, Matthew and Michael to the Arkansas Razorback Family. #OneRazorback pic.twitter.com/ydHjNwG2UY

Musselman has coached at just about all levels including two stints as a head coach in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings. Musselman also had a few stints in what was known as the D-League at the time. Over the past seven years, Musselman has coached in college with Nevada being his first college head coaching job.
In his time there he led them to 110 wins in four seasons. Musselman built his teams on transfers bringing in talented guys from other schools to build an older experienced squad that won a lot of games. Musselman was able to bring in guys like the Martin twins from North Carolina State and also brought in a five-star recruit in 2018 in Jordan Brown. Musselman will now join a growing list of great and successful coach in the SEC. The conference has made a significant push in upgrading basketball in the league and they added another good coach to the list.
