Ashley is projected to be a second-round pick.
Arizona forward Brandon Ashley will forego his senior year and enter the 2015 NBA Draft, as reported by CBS Sports. Ashley’s teammate, sophomore forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson recently made his decision to enter the draft as well.
Ashley averaged 12.2 points and 5.2 rebounds for the Wildcats this season.
As a 6-foot-9, 230-pound swing forward, Ashley certainly has the length and athleticism to contend at the next level. He’ll need to get stronger, as is usually the case for the transition to the pros, and more crucially will have to define his position. At his size, Ashley would fit the small forward mold in the NBA. His shooting would need to improve as a wing player.
On NBADraft.net, Ashley is currently projected as the no. 40 overall pick in the second round.
