Washington, D.C. native Ari Lennox is riding high following the release of her sophomore studio LP, age/sex/location. Complete with 18 tracks, the 2022 LP includes contributions from J. Cole, Summer Walker, Lucky Daye, Chlöe Bailey and many others. The vulnerability and honesty that the Dreamvile recording artist showcased throughout the project coupled with her unique voice allowed fans to connect with the project in a way that is truly special.
“Ari Lennox album has crack in it,” one fan tweeted.
“No one writes 21st-century love songs like Ari Lennox. A whole song about a hoodie. Pure talent,” another person added.
The reception that the album has received has only been propelled by her ability to go out and connect with her fans. Despite her struggles with social anxiety, Ari Lennox made herself available through appearances at The Gathering Spot, in-depth interviews with The Breakfast Club and intimate performances in New York. Her album has also been boosted by the care and time she has taken with her visual efforts. Earlier this year, she called on her musical peer and friend, Isaiah Rashad, to appear in the “Hoodie” video. This week, she returned with another visual for “P.O.F.”
