Amar’e Stoudemire wants to be reunited with Phoenix Suns free agent point guard Steve Nash in New York, the All-Star forward said just after the Knicks were bundled out of the playoffs in 5 games by the Heat. Reinforcements at the position will certainly need to be brought in next season, and Stoudemire feels the two-time MVP is the right fit.
“Everyone knows that Steve loves New York and that New York loves Steve,” Stoudemire said. “I love Steve. It would be great to have him here next year.”
With a season-ending injury to Jeremy Lin during the regular season – and a possible career-ending one to Baron Davis in the playoffs – the Knicks were left with veteran Mike Bibby to start Game . They could definitely use Nash in ’12-13.
