Alabama middle linebacker Reuben Foster is projected to be a top 15 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Today Foster underwent rotator cuff surgery on his right shoulder. Adam Caplan of ESPN has reported that he underwent the surgery.

Foster will now miss the combine because of the surgery. He should be just fine to return for NFL training camp once he is drafted. Foster is probably the most talented linebacker to come out of Alabama since Dont’a Hightower of the Patriots. The Bama product is a complete linebacker and realistically should be considered a can’t miss prospect.
Zac Cunningham and Jared Davis are the other inside linebackers who are held in high regard. Missing the combine will likely cause his draft stock to take a slight hit.
