LeBron James’ departure from the Cleveland Cavaliers for the second time is becoming a realistic decision. After a summer where the Cavs have disappointed with their decisions in the front office and free agency, rumors of James’ desire to leave the Cavs again are growing stronger.
Cavs fans are of course paranoid about the possibility, given that James has left the organization before. LeBron leaving again would effectively send the Cavs down another rebuild and with little faith in the management, it’s unclear how long that rebuild would take.
As a preemptive strike, at least one Akron store is already selling merchandise aimed at LeBron to persuade him to stay in Cleveland:

I don’t think all of this is enough to make LeBron want to stay. If James does remain with the Cavs, it would be because he’s on a talented team with an almost guaranteed berth in the Finals every year while being near his hometown of Akron. If he leaves, it will be because the team has never met his level of excellence on the court with proficiency in management.
So to all Cavs fans buying this merch, hopefully you won’t be burning it in a few months.
