ABC News is set to launch a new series called Soul of Nation. The primetime news show will feature in-depth stories and discussions about racial inequality, police brutality and much more. The show will be hosted by a number of ABC stars including T.J. Holmes, Linsey Davis, Janai Norman and others. Also, members of ESPN’s The Undefeated, Justin Tinsely and Dominique Foxworth, will appear on the show. Not to mention, Saweetie, Jemele Hill, Marsai Martin, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Cynthia Erivo and many other celebrities will appear on the show.
“Soul of a Nation travels across the country, unpacking issues critical to Black Americans through intimate storytelling. Every episode will bridge the past, present and future through a variety of voices and experiences from athletes, entertainers, performers and screenwriters,” ABC News stated.
Adding on the star power of Saweetie, Jemle Hill and Chris Paul, each show will feature a special performance. From musicians to spoken word artists, Soul of a Nation promises to bring in the best of the best to perform.
“It’s time,” Soul of a Nation Co-Executive Producer Robe Imbriano said.
“Soul of a Nation arrives as the country is eager for a show like this, and the mix of intimate and insightful storytelling with performance will bring some serious joy.”
ABC’s latest project will debut in March and will consist of six episodes. New episodes will premiere on ABC before being moved to Hulu.
