Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is hitting the road to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut studio album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’. Joined by Jeremih and Busta Rhymes, the New York native will embark on a North American tour that will run from July 21 in Salt Lake City through September 17 in Detroit. Along the way, he’ll make stops in Nashville, Cleveland, Houston, Los Angeles and several other major cities. Afterward, Busta Rhymes will join 50 Cent for a European tour that will begin in Amsterdam on September 28 and end in Birmingham on November 12. Busta Rhymes and 50 Cent will also make stops in London, Paris, Milan, Berlin and several other hot European hot spots.
Released on February 6, 2003, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ served as 50 Cent’s Interscope Records debut and introduction to a larger audience. Led by the global hit, “In Da Club,” the Shady Records release moved nearly 900,000 units in its first week and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 Chart. It ended the year as the best-selling album of 2003 and earned a nomination at the 46th Grammy Awards.
Twenty years later, Jackson also has his sights set on releasing new music in the future. Back in January, the New York native promised to deliver new music by the end of the year.
With several television projects in the work and an upcoming tour, its unclear when he’ll have the time to record new music. However, it is clear that 50 Cent is an example of how great music and creativity can live on for decades. For now, check out the complete list of tour dates below.
