Chicago will welcome Lollapalooza back to the Windy City on August 1-4, 2024. The annual celebration of music and culture will feature performances from SZA, Future, Metro Boomin’ and Tyler, The Creator. SZA will arrive in Chicago after winning three GRAMMY Awards in February and teasing the release of LANA, the deluxe edition of her latest album. Meanwhile, Tyler, The Creator hits the stage after debuting his new Louis Vuitton collection and Future. Not to be forgotten, Future and Metro Boomin’ are preparing to release multiple albums together later this spring.
Lollapalooza will also include performances from Killer Mike, Victoria Monét and Vince Staples. Much like the headliners, Killer Mike, Victoria Monét and Vince Staples are reaching new heights. Killer Mike picked up three GRAMMYs in February while Victoria Monét was honored as the ceremony’s Best New Artist. While Vince Staples didn’t win a GRAMMY Award this year, he made waves with the debut of his self-titled show on Netflix.
The festival will also hit Chicago during one of the most eventful weeks of the year. Not only will the city host the annual music festival, but the National Association of Black Journalists will also hold its annual convention in Chicago from July 31 through August 4.
In addition, Lollapalooza adds to a week filled with festival announcements. Earlier this week, Hot 97 unveiled its Doja Cat-led Summer Jam lineup. Shortly thereafter, Broccoli City Festival made its move to Audi Field official with a lineup that includes Gunna, Megan Thee Stallion, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Victoria Monét.
