Erykah Badu and Jermaine Dupri will headline Pusha T’s first-ever Cousinz Festival in Norfolk, Virginia on August 31, 2024. The inaugural edition of the music festival will feature DJ sets from Jermaine Dupri, DJ Envy, Izzy The DJ, Jae Murphy and DJ DC. The one-day affair will also include live musical performances from Badu, Lion Babe, Larry June, Mad Skillz and Lonnie B.
“COUSINZ is the new annual celebration of Black Joy on August 31st – attracting 15,000 friends and family to the Scope Plaza for Music, Comedy, Food and more. COUSINZ is backed by a seasoned team, with a vision and plan to root the undeniably potent Cousin Culture,” a statement from the festival reads.
“Created off the the sold-out success of their RNB Block Parties, Nathaniel Johnson, Antonio Dowe and Robby Wells, and with Pusha T and Steven Victor in headlining positions, COUSINZ will bring Cousin Culture to life.”
Pusha T is far from the only entertainer to get into the festival business. In recent years, J. Cole, Tyler, The Creator, Drake, Jay-Z, H.E.R and several other acts have hosted their own festivals. Now, the Virginia native looks to take the success of RNB Block Party to new heights as they end the summer with a bang.
