The 2023 NBA Free Agency has started. The first weekend is always one of the most chaotic periods of the NBA calendar with many moves being reported in minutes. For this year the $1 Billion mark was surpassed in less than an hour and a lot more signings were announced during the weekend.

Atlanta Hawks
Boston Celtics
- Kristaps Porzingis will sign a two-year, $60 million extension with his new team.
- Oshae Brissett has agreed to a two-year deal.
- The Celtics are signing Dalano Banton on a two-year, $4.2 million deal.
Brooklyn Nets
- Cam Johnson has agreed to return to the Brooklyn Nets on a four-year deal worth $ 108 million.
- Dennis Smith Jr. has agreed to a one-year deal.
- Lonnie Walker has agreed to a one-year deal.
Charlotte Hornets
- LaMelo Ball has agreed to a maximum contract extension with Charlotte worth up to $260 million.
- Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges is preparing to sign Charlotte’s one-year qualifying offer for the 2023-24 season.
Chicago Bulls
- Jevon Carter will sign a three-year, $20 million deal with the Chicago Bulls.
- Coby White will stay in Chicago on a three-year deal worth $40 million.
- Torrey Craig is signing a two-year deal with the Bulls.
Cleveland Cavaliers
- Georges Niang has agreed to a three-year, $26 million deal.
- Caris LeVert will stay in Cleveland on a two-year, $32 million deal.
- Ty Jerome is joining the Cleveland Cavaliers on a two-year contract worth $5 million.
- Max Strus is heading to Cleveland on a four-year, $63 million sign-and-trade deal. Details about the trade have not been reported yet.
Dallas Mavericks
- Seth Curry has agreed to a two-year deal with the Mavericks. He’s coming back for the second time to Dallas after spending the 2016-17 and 2019-20 seasons with the Mavs.
- Kyrie Irving will re-sign with the Dallas Mavericks on a three-year, $126 million deal.
- Dante Exum is returning to the NBA on a guaranteed deal with the Mavs. Since 2021, he has played FC Barcelona and Partizan Belgrade.
- Dwight Powell will stay in Dallas with a three-year, $12-million deal.
Denver Nuggets
- DeAndre Jordan will re-sign with the Denver Nuggets.
- Reggie Jackson will return to the reigning NBA champs on a two-year deal worth $10.25 million.
- Justin Holiday has reached a one-year deal with the Denver Nuggets.
Detroit Pistons
- Pistons acquired Monte Morris in a trade.
Golden State Warriors
- Draymond Green is going nowhere. The four-time NBA Champ has agreed to a four-year deal worth $100 million.
- Cory Joseph has agreed to a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors.
Houston Rockets
- Fred VanVleet has agreed to a three-year deal worth $130 million.
- Jock Landale will join the Houston Rockets on a four-year, $32 million contract.
- Dillon Brooks has agreed to a four-year, $80-million contract.
Indiana Pacers
- NBA Champion Bruce Brown will sign with the Indiana Pacers on a two-year, $45 million deal.
- Tyrese Haliburton has agreed to a five-year, $260-million maximum contract extension.
- The Pacers are acquiring Obi Toppin in a trade.

- The Clippers acquire K.J. Martin in a trade for two future second-round draft picks.
- Russell Westbrook is staying with the Clippers for two more years and $8 million.

- Cam Reddish has agreed to a two-year deal.

- Derrick Rose will sign a two-year contract.

- Josh Richardson has agreed to a two-year deal to return to the Miami Heat after four seasons with multiple teams.
