Broccoli City Festival will return to the RFK Stadium Festival Grounds this summer. On July 15-16, 2023, Brent Faiyaz, Jazmine Sullivan and Lil’ Uzi Vert are set to take the stage in the nation’s capital. The two-day event will also feature the likes of LaRussell, Lola Brooke, Ice Spice, City Girls, Kodak Black, GloRilla, Chlöe, Tia Corina, Rem and Mariah The Scientist. Not to mention, the festival will provide a homecoming performance from the District’s very own Fat Trel.
Broccoli City Festival has been on a run since last year’s festival, which featured Summer Walker and Ari Lennox. Since then, the festival was pushed back to July to avoid many of the weather-related challenges that were presented in 2022. Also, Live Nation Urban acquired a stake in the growing festival. Through the deal, Brandon McEachern and Marcus Allen were moved into executive roles at Live Nation Urban. More recently, Broccoli City Festival partnered with Adobo DMV to launch a new festival called Tamarindo Festival.
“We always set out to create an event that not only served as a safe space for people from different backgrounds, but also a place where we could celebrate the cultural elements and the heritage that we share,” Adobo DMV Co-Founder Pedro Night told DCist.
“Adobo is very much a celebration of the DMV and the diversity we have in this area.”
Tamarindo Festival will kick things off with its inaugural festival at RFK Stadium Festival Grounds on May 6, 2023. Two months later, Broccoli City Festival will keep the ball rolling with Jazmine Sullivan, Lil’ Uzi Vert and Brent Faiyaz on July 15-16, 2023.
