Lil’ Wayne is prepared to return to his hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana this summer. In August, the Louisiana native will lead the return of Lil’ Weezyana Fest at Champion’s Square in New Orleans. The one-day celebration will feature a slate of rising stars like Moneybagg Yo, Coi Leray and Babyface Ray. Lil’ Wayne also promises to bring through a few special guests as well.
“New Orleans birthed us and we can travel and hit the stage anywhere in the world, but there’s no place like home! As always, we will be honoring the many lives lost in Hurricane Katrina as this year marks the 17th year anniversary,” Young Money President Mack Maine told Amber Corrine of VIBE.
“Wayne is excited to get back home as this one will be one you won’t want to miss!”
Unfortunately, Lil’ Wayne has not been able to host Lil’ Weezyana Fest since 2019. Prior to the introduction of COVID-19 across the globe, Travis $cott, Megan Thee Stallion, Meek Mill and several others have taken the stage. Over the years, Drake, Nicki Minaj and many other stars have also supported Lil’ Wayne’s annual festival.
