Music festivals are always fun, but they become exponentially more enjoyable when they’re placed on a beach in Portugal. That’s what set to take place this summer at Afro Nation Portugal in the Faro District.
“Praia da Rocha, about two miles south of Portimão, is the town’s main beach. The stunning beach is surrounded by stunning red-rock cliffs, so it’s no surprise Praia da Rocha means ‘Rocky Beach’ in Portuguese,” organizers said about the upcoming event.
“It’s one of the most popular and liveliest beaches in The Algarve making it the perfect home for Afro Nation Portugal.”
Powered by Live Nation, BBC Radio and Capital One Xtra, the three-day event is set to feature performances from Chris Brown, Burna Boy, Wizkid and Megan Thee Stallion. Adding to the weekend-long event, Tems, Koffee, Pa Salieu, ShaSimone, Beenie Man and many other talented acts will also take the stage.
Afro Nation is not the only festival set to take place in Portugal this summer. One week after Chris Brown and Megan Thee Stallion take the stage, Rolling Loud will come into town. Set in the Faro District as well, the three-day event will provide a platform for the brightest stars in all of music. However, organizers have not unveiled the full lineup just yet.
Tickets for Rolling Loud Portugal are already on the market. Next week, tickets for Afro Nation will also go back on sale.
