Usher was joined by Sheila E. and FKA Twigs to put on a tribute performance for the late, great Prince at the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards. Taking the stage at the STAPLES Center, the trio played a medley of hits including “Little Red” Corvette,” “When Doves Cry” and “Kiss.”
This performance sets the stage for Tuesday’s Let’s Go Crazy tribute on CBS this Tuesday. Beck, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Chris Martin are set to pay tribute to the music icon.
The all around musician passed away in 2016. Prior to his death, he earned nearly three dozen GRAMMY nominations and took home seven of those awards.
Tonight, Prince will be one of a few pop icons to receive tributes. To start the show, Alicia Keys, Lizzo and Boyz II Men paid tribute to Kobe Bryant. Later on, Roddy Ricch, YG, DJ Khaled and others will pay tribute to Nipsey Hussle. In the meantime, check out Usher’s Prince tribute above.
