2 Chainz may have delivered his last album, So Help Me God, nearly two years ago, but he’s been far from absent in the world of music. Within the last six months alone, he’s delivered a track with the legendary DJ Premier, appeared in an NFL ad campaign and delivered the 10th anniversary edition of T.R.U Realigion. Little did his fans know, his recent appearances and collaborations have been leading up to this moment. Closing on the 10th anniversary of his debut studio album, 2 Chainz has delivered his seventh studio LP, Dope Don’t Sell Itself.
2 Chainz’s seventh studio LP is not short on features in any way, shape or form. Across 12 tracks, the Atlanta native enlists the help of Roddy Ricch, Lil’ Baby, Lil’ Durk, 42 Dugg, Symba, Stove God Cooks, Moneybagg Yo and many other stars. Not to mention, there’s also production from Beatking.
Dope Don’t Sell Itself will not be the only project that 2 Chainz releases this year. During a recent appearance on Off The Record, he said that he’s “definitely” releasing ColleGrove II with Lil’ Wayne later this year.
“We were in the studio together,” he explained.
“I think the last time we were in the studio together maybe twice. This time, we’ve been in the studio together multiple times working on this project. Whether going back in after we’ve done something or whatever.”
While we wait for ColleGrove II to arrive, check out Dope Don’t Sell Itself below.
