Following the NBA trade deadline, the Cleveland Cavaliers had their roster set without making any big deadline deals. They found a three-point shooter earlier in the season when they acquired Kyle Korver, they found a playmaking guard in Deron Williams, agreed to a deal with a wing scorer with Derrick Williams and finally signed a rim protecting, rebounding big in Andrew Bogut. But in their first game with their ideal roster and new additions that pleased LeBron James, the worst happened. An injury struck the Cavs once again.
Andrew Bogut played only 58 seconds in his Cavs debut before he went down in a heap after banging legs with Okaro White.

It sounded like Bogut knew the worst happened and the Cavs confirmed the news later on in the evening.

Cavaliers Center Andrew Bogut experienced a left leg injury during the second quarter of Monday’s game in Cleveland vs. the Miami Heat. Initial x-rays and evaluation at The Q revealed a fractured left tibia. Bogut was taken to the Cleveland Clinic for further imaging and evaluation and additional updates will be made as they become available.

The Cavs say Bogut will officially miss the remainder of the season and playoffs.
Andrew Bogut underwent additional imaging and evaluation at the Cleveland Clinic yesterday related to his fractured left tibia. His tibia has been set and he is undergoing a non-surgical treatment and recovery plan commencing immediately with an extended period of immobilization and healing stimulation. He will not be available to play the remainder of the regular season and playoffs, but is expected to successfully complete his recovery process in advance of training camp for the 2017-18 NBA season.
Mo Williams never suited up for the Cavs this season, and he was expected to be their backup point guard. Kevin Love was named an NBA All-Star for the first time in his Cavs career, he’s been out due to a knee issue. J.R. Smith was an integral part of the Cavs championship run, and he’s been out due to a broken hand. The injury woes keep coming for the Cavs.
