A couple of months ago it was announced that the ‘Grown-ish’ actress Yara Shahidi was working on a young adult immigrant drama/love story and this is our first look.
The trailer opens up with ‘What does America mean to you?’ so clearly, this film will have be heavy on the immigration and political slant. Other than Shahidi, Charles Melton, Jake Choi and Gbenga Akinnagbe star alongside the ‘Grown-ish’ actress.
Directed by Ry Russo-Young and adapted for the screen by Girls Trip co-writer, Tracy Oliver, the story from Everything, Everything author Yoon is set to hit theaters May 17.
