Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y have long been a dynamic duo in the world Hip-Hop. Over the past decade, the two have managed to put out two projects, How Fly and Live In Concert. During the past few years, the two have teased a new project called 2009. When asked about the project back in 2015, Wiz Khalifa told MTV News, “We’re just working on it constantly.” He later added, “He’s always sending me beats that he rapped to, or I’m sending him stuff that I rapped to. In the end, we’re just gonna come out with something super dope.” After three years of waiting, the project is finally here.
Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y have released a new joint project called 2009. The new project comes with fourteen tracks and features from Ty Dolla $ign and Problem. In support of the new project, the two will also go on a tour this Spring. The longtime duo will hit twenty two cities and perform alongside each other at Rolling Loud‘s fifth anniversary festival in Miami this May.
Outside of this project, Wiz Khalifa is planning to release an R&B project later this year. In the meantime, check out his joint album with Curren$y above.
