Actor Winston Duke emerged as a force in pop culture in 2018 after he delivered a memorable performance as M’Baku in Black Panther. Three years later, he has returned to Atlanta, Georgia to begin working on the Black Panther sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Having made his presence known in the MCU, he’s now looking to do the same in the DC Universe.
Winston Duke has landed the role of Bruce Wayne in the upcoming podcast series, Batman Unburied, from Spotify. Alongside Duke, Jason Isaacs of Harry Potter fame will star as Batman’s right-hand man, Alfred.
“When audiences meet Bruce Wayne he is a forensic pathologist, working in the bowels of Gotham Hospital and tasked with examining the victims of The Harvester, a gruesome serial killer preying on Gotham’s citizens,” the podcast’s synopsis reads.
“Not only will the superhero be forced to face his own mental demons, but he will also have to overcome them in order to save the citizens of Gotham as his alter-ego Batman.”
Batman is not the only superhero set to join the Spotify family. In the coming months, Riddler, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Lois Lane and Catwoman will all be introduced through various podcasts. At this time, there is no word as to when these podcasts will be released or how they will be released. More details will arrive in the coming weeks.
