It’s been nearly fifteen years since Will Ferrell first appeared on screen as Ron Burgundy in the classic comedy film, The Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. The DreamWorks production popped off to $90 million in box office sales worldwide. In the years that followed, the film spawned two sequels with the last being released in 2013. Since then, Will Ferrell has had his hand in a number of other projects such as Eastbound and Down and The Chris Gethard Show. Most notably, Will Ferrell has gone all in on his video streaming service, Funny Or Die, which is entering its twelfth year.
One of Funny Or Die’s newest projects is a podcast partnership with iHeartMedia. The partnership includes a twelve episode podcast starring Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy. The podcast is set to premiere on Thursday, February 7th. In anticipation of the podcast, Will Ferrell put together a trailer that shows Run Burgundy in rare form.
