Hours ago, multiple reports began to suggest that Draymond Green struck his teammate, Jordan Poole, in the face during an altercation at practice. Shortly thereafter, video of the incident made its way to TMZ. In the short clip, Green can clearly be seen striking Poole in the face before teammates intervene. Green has reportedly apologized to Poole and his teammates as he awaits internal disciplinary action. While the team figures out what it plans to do to deter internal events like this from happening in the future, the Warriors are “aggressively” seeking out the person who shared the video of the altercation with the press.
“The Golden State Warriors are taking ‘every legal course of action’ to discover how video of Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole during a scuffle at practice on Wednesday was made public,” ESPN’s Ramon Shelbourne tweeted.
The Warriors are not the only party wondering who leaked the video. As the video surfaced online, fans, press and others asked the same question.
“Man, who leaked that video?” WNBA guard Lexie Brown tweeted.
“Who leaked this to TMZ, and why?” HuffPost Senior Front Page Editor Phillip Lewis asked.
While franchise leadership and others wonder who may have shared the video with TMZ, the Warriors will prepare to open up the 2022-2023 NBA preseason. Steph Curry and company will play the Los Angeles Lakers in Oracle Arena on October 9, 2022.
