The cast of Westworld‘s third season isn’t pulling any punches. Earlier this year, it was announced that Lena Waithe would be joining the show’s already-star-studded cast.
Well, Tuesday, HBO added another big name to season 3’s call sheet: Vincent Cassel. It’s unclear who Cassel will be playing but the word on the street is that his character will be the series’ new villain. “We’re incredibly excited to work with Vincent Cassel,” said showrunners Johnathon Nolan and Lisa Joy. “We’ve been longtime fans of his and are thrilled for him to join the Westworld team.”
Westworld‘s first season captured the attention of the nation with the mysterious overlapping timelines. The second season was hit-or-miss for most viewers but, the series still scored an eye-watering 21 Emmy nominations for its second outing so I doubt it’s going anywhere anytime soon. Unfortunately, though, HBO has confirmed that the series won’t return until sometime next year.
“We’ve been longtime fans of his and are thrilled for him to join the Westworld team.”
Cassel is a famous French actor who has had roles in films such as Black Swan and Eastern Promises. He is set to appear next in Underwater.
