In the end it really didn’t matter, but it must have felt nice for Shawn Jones to get out some anger about a Wizards blowout loss to the Pelicans. With barely any time left in a game that had already been sealed, Larry Drew II was blocked by the big man while attempting a finger roll finish.

The block may have been nice, but attempting to finish a layup with a finger roll may not be the best idea when a huge defender is waiting at the rim. When a 6-foot-8 big man is standing right under the basket, it may be a better idea to pass the ball off or dribble through to keep yourself off the wrong side of a highlight reel.
Don’t worry Larry, your team got the victory and gets to play another playoff game while Jones and company get to play Denver in a consolation game. As for Jones, he has one last chance to impress some scouts in the game, so it should not at all be taken lightly.
Washington will have their final game played on July 17th at 10PM in Vegas.
