Paul Pierce hit yet another clutch shot that looked like it was going to give the Wizards a late victory, but that all changed once Al Horford was not called for a foul or travel, and was able to make a game-winning layup. After the shot, Pierce turned around at the Atlanta bench, and yelled “series” to the players sitting on the bench as well as the fans seated behind them. Although the Wizards were unable to come away with the win, this is yet another quote Wizards fans will remember for the rest of their lives.
The Truth has this swagger about him that makes him not care about whatever he plans on saying because he knows he will back it up. For the first time this postseason, Pierce was unable to back his words, but it was certainly not his fault. Pierce will have to bring all of this fire and intensity to Game 6 to keep the Wizards alive.
