Both Wizards fans and Otto Porter have grown up since last season, and both seem to be pleased with each other. As Otto Porter‘s night ended in a fourth quarter blowout win over Toronto to secure the franchise’s first ever sweep in a best-of-7 series, fans began to chant his name. They were so pleased with not only how well he played in the clincher, but how he had played throughout the series and the rest of the season.
Porter is becoming a fan favorite in Washington as fans admire his hard work and how he prepared for a larger role in Washington this season. Sooner or later, we may be seeing just as many Otto Porter jerseys in Verizon Center as there are for John Wall. Until that time comes, Otto needs to continue to get better to prepare to take over the small forward spot once Paul Pierce hangs up his jersey.
