This is more than perfect timing for VH1 to return after a long hiatus of their Hip-Hop Honors Award Show. What better way to return than paying respect and shining light on the first ladies of Hip-Hop. The honorees for VH1’s Hip-Hop Honors: All Hail The Queens are Queen Latifah, Missy Elliott, Salt-N-Pepa and Lil Kim. With Eve hosting the show, for nostalgic reasoning you would have been a fool to not have tuned in willingly.
But, just incase you unfortunately missed the event, throughout the evening, the honorees were presented with an award and there were special performances for each of the lovely ladies.
Missy Elliott’s special tribute saw performances from Nelly Furtado, Remy Ma, Trina, Eve, Tweet, Monica, and Fantasia.
Queen Latifah was honored by Common, Naughty by Nature, Da Brat, MC Lyte, Rah Digga, Suga T and Yo-Yo with special performances. Queen Latifah has also hit the stage with Monie Love for a performance of ‘Ladies First’.
This performance of ‘U.N.I.T.Y.’ closed out the show
Salt-N-Pepa featuring DJ Spinderella saw tribute performances from the likes of Amber Rose, Keke Palmer, Ashanti and Dreezy
Lil Kim hit the stage to perform as she was honored at the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors: All Hail The Queens but special performances to pay tribute to the Queen B were The Lox, French Montana, Rich Homie Quan, Teyana Taylor, Dej Loaf and Jessica White
