Tiffany Haddish is swiftly making the transition from comedic roles to more serious roles. Recently, she landed roles in both The Card Counter and a biopic highlighting the life of Florence Griffith-Joyner. Now, it appears that she may have found a happy medium between the two genres with an upcoming film inspired by a signature theme park ride.
The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Tiffany Haddish and LaKeith Stanfield are negotiating deals to star in the upcoming film, Haunted Mansion. Directed by Dear White People‘s, the film will tell the story of a family that moves into a haunted mansion. Stanfield is expected the play the role of a widow who now works as a tour guide in the New Orleans’ French Quarter. Meanwhile, Haddish is expected to play the role of a psychic who can communicate with those who have transitioned.
There is no scheduled release date as of now, but the cast and crew are expected to begin production this fall.
