Meek Mill has sure had his fair share of trials and tribulation this year. Beginning the year behind bars, Meek Mill fought for his release from jail with the help of millions of fans, celebrities and activists. In his release, Meek Mill has been both a public servant and a public figure. Following his release, Meek Mill made it his priority to conduct a press run in which he talked about the ills of mass incarceration. In addition, Meek Mill has gone back to being one of the biggest artists in today’s game. This year, Meek Mill had an incredible performance at the 2018 BET Awards, released Legends of the Summer and announced that he’s nearly finished with his next album. Continuing on his run of new music, Meek Mill has unleashed biggest feature yet.
As we head into the week, we can all enjoy some new music from Meek Mill and Atlanta legend, T.I. Their newest collaboration, “Jefe”, features both emcees performing at their highest ability. Like Meek Mill, T.I. has also had an incredibly busy 2018. T.I. has done everything from having sit downs with Kanye West to hosting his own show on BET called The Grand Hustle. Similar to Meek Mill, T.I. has also found time to put music first. On his verse, T.I. raps, “Let me welcome you, get introduced to the king/Bentleys, Ferraris, brand new and they clean/So disappointed when n*ggas talk shit on their records, when you see ’em, don’t do anything.” On the next verse, Meek Mill raps, “If I give you my number, don’t call me too much, comprende?/City to city, bad b*tches and t*t*es, she jump on the jet with me, she on the tour/I’m in Balenci’, Laurent and Givenchi, my pockets on Benji and she in Dior.”
