Seemingly, OKC waived Telfair in what seems to be right after they snapped a 6 game losing streak and beat the Jazz. A game in which Telfair played 13 minutes, and contributed 5 points off the bench.
Here’s more from the NBA website.
The Oklahoma City Thunder waived guard Sebastian Telfair, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti.
This season, Telfair appeared in 16 games (one start) with the Thunder, averaging 8.4 points, 2.8 assists, and 1.9 rebounds in 20.5 minutes per contest.
Oklahoma City’s roster now stands at 15.
Not a happy Thanksgiving for Telfair. Now this is just confusing and something doesn’t add up here. Although it may be a move to clear space for the return of Westbrook, but still, Telfair played very well for the Thunder.
