Twelve years in, The Cool Kids is still here delivering new music. The talented duo first arrived in 2008 with “Black Mags” and The Bake Sale project. Over time, they evolved with “Pennies” and When Fish Ride Bicycles. They even appeared in Widows alongside Daniel Kaluuya. In more recent years, they’ve stepped aside to work on their solo careers, but new music is on the way.
Fresh off of dropping “Driver” with Ye Ali, the group has returned with a new track called “Dapper Dan Leather.” The smooth production sets things off for Chuck Inglish’s verse before Sir Michael Rocks finishes things off.
“Patent leather, All-Star white Carolinas/Describing live rap rhymes on a jetliner/You wanna know why I’m shinin’ with it?/’Cause I’m out here lightin’ n*ggas,” the group raps.
The Cool Kids are not done yet. The duo is preparing to drop a new project called Before Sh*t Got Weird. While we wait for the full project, check out “Dapper Dan Leather” below.
