
The Big Bang Theory is winding down its record-breaking 12 year run next month on CBS. And the network is set to give the series an extra 30 minutes to say goodbye after the finale airs. Unraveling The Mystery: The Big Bang Theory is set to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the show, hosted by stars Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco.
The on-screen couple will dive into their favorite moments from filming while looking back at the last 12 years. Other stars such as Jim Parsons, Simon Hedberg, Kunal Nayyar, and many more will are set to appear as well. The special will also feature tours of many of the show’s now iconic sets.
First airing in 2007, The Big Bang Theory has been TV’s #1 comedy for most of its run. Over the course of that run, it has received a total of 52 Emmy nominations with 10 wins thus far. It also received 7 Golden Globe nominations over the course of its time on-air. It will end with 279 total episodes, good enough to beat out Cheers’ 275 for the title of ‘longest running multi-camera comedy in TV history.’
