Teyana Taylor was unable to perform in Mashantucket, Connecticut Saturday evening because she was hospitalized. In a lengthy Instagram post, Taylor explained that her body “shut down” and she was transported to a nearby medical facility shortly thereafter.
“You all know [I] don’t miss [any] shows. [More] importantly, [you] know I’ve been leaving it all on [the] stage for a month straight. [I’ve given] 100%. So, I am really saddened to not be able to do the same for you last night,” she wrote.
“My team and I tried everything down to the very last second to get me out on that stage, but my body simply just gave out. [It] actually started a few days ago. [It] shut down. My body actually low key betrayed me [because] a b*tch was trying to get on that stage. [You all] know I’m with the sh*ts. [You all] have seen me with a broken foot and all types of other crazy sh*t.”
Saturday night’s “Femme It Forward” show went on with Ari Lennox and Sevyn Streeter. However, Taylor promised that she would return to Connecticut in the near future.
“I promise I will [come] back to [Connecticut for a] rescheduled [show] and [it] better than ever. All tickets will be honored for yesterday’s show,” she added.
