The Baltimore Ravens came into the 2015 NFL season with high hopes, hopes so high that some believe the Ravens could head to the Super Bowl in San Fransisco in February. Before the Ravens make any plans to visit the Bay Area before Valentine’s Day, they have to play the season out and week 1 they were up against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.
It wasn’t a great start for the Ravens as not only did the Broncos hand Baltimore a loss, they also lost a key piece to their defense.
All-Pro linebacker Terrell Suggs tore his achilles in the fourth quarter of the Ravens game in Denver and he will miss the remainder of the season. It’s the second time Suggs has torn an achilles tendon in his career.
Following from the Baltimore Ravens twitter account.

Suggs was in high spirits following his injury.
Chin up Ravens Nation! We've been here before… This changes NOTHING!!! Our mission is still the same!

The soon-to-be 33-year-old pass rusher tore his achilles in the 2012 offseason and he returned after only missing a couple of games and when he returned, everything went right for Baltimore. They went on to face and defeat both Peyton Manning and Tom Brady in the playoffs and then they defeated the San Fransisco 49ers to win the Super Bowl.
Suggs didn’t officially record a stat in the Ravens game against the Broncos but his presence was definitely felt. The latest achilles injury to Suggs possibly could mean the former defensive player of the year might be getting closer to hanging it up.
