
Is it possible for a music enthusiast to not know who Terrace Martin? It’s not likely, but sure. Anything is possible. Is it possible for a music enthusiast or even a casual listener to be unfamiliar with his work? No, it’s really not. Over the last decade and change, Terrace Martin has worked on a number of popular Hip-Hop projects like Section .80, My Krazy Life and of course, good kid, m.A.A.d city. Furthermore, his production resume includes names like Charlie Wilson, Snoop Dogg, Stevie Wonder and Raphael Saadiq. Not to mention, he’s a three-time GRAMMY nominee.
While Terrace Martin has made a name as a producer, he’s also a vocalist and multi-instrumentalists with more than two dozen projects under his belt. Along the way, Robert Glasper, Thundercat and 9th Wonder have appeared on his albums. His most recent effort, DRONES, is no different. For his 2021 release, the star producer pulled out the big guns. Across 13 tracks, Martin calls on Cordae, Hit-Boy, Kendrick Lamar, Celeste, Arin Ray, Smino, Snoop Dogg and many others.
