Teofimo Lopez is looking to expand his presence on social media. Weeks before he returns to Madison Square Garden in his hometown, Lopez has launched his own YouTube channel. The first offering from his new platform is a mini-documentary entitled Resilient.
“I am excited to share this film [with you]. It is a more intimate view into my life while I was in training camp for my match versus Pedro Campa on August 13, 2022. Thank you for spending your time with this film,” the film’s description reads.
While the film takes a look back at where he was, Teofimo Lopez will look forward to where he is going. On December 10, he will continue his campaign within the 140-pound division by taking on Sandor Martin. The New York native will be a heavy favorite against Martin, but he will be asked several questions about the venues in which he will fight.
This December, Teofimo Lopez will return to Madison Square Garden for the first time since he fought George Kambosos Jr. After several delays, Lopez and Kambosos Jr. shared the ring in an undisputed lightweight title fight. To the surprise of many, Kambosos Jr. walked out of the ring with a split-decision victory and all of the major lightweight titles.
Shortly after suffering his first pro defeat, Teofimo Lopez made the jump to the super lightweight division. As shown in Resilient, he scored a seventh-round stoppage victory against Pedro Campa in his 140-pound debut earlier this year. With three of the four major titles vacated, Lopez is looking to get a shot at a vacant title later this year.
