Another professional boxer may be making an appearance in the Creed franchise. Recently, 135-pound champion Teofimo Lopez revealed that he will make an appearance in Creed III.
“Even when it’s not in my sport, I’m perfecting my craft, and I’m also grinding and hustling to make other moves. Creed III coming out, I’ll be in it,” Lopez told Fight Hub TV.
If true, Lopez would join a long list of professional boxers to make an appearance in the Creed franchise. Most notably, Tony Bellew, Gabriel Rosado and Andrew Ward have made appearances in the film.
Little is known about the plot of Creed III, but a few key details have been shared along the way. Jonathan Majors has reportedly been cast as a main character. Meanwhile, Michael B. Jordan is expected to direct the film with Sylvester Stallone exiting the franchise. The film is set to be released in November 2022.
