It’s been less than two months since Creed II hit theaters, but fans are already looking forward to the next Creed film. While Sylvester Stallone has already made his feelings clear about not doing another Creed film, it appears that Michael B. Jordan and Dolph Lundgren have other thoughts. As those involved continue to toy with the idea of another Creed film, those outside of the Hollywood film have become even more invested in the possibility of another film.
One of those people who has become invested in a third Creed film is heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder. During a recent run-in with TMZ, Wilder lobbied to be a part of the next Creed movie. To be specific, Wilder would like to be cast as the son Clubber Lang. While the second film did focus on Drago’s son, if the character arc Clubber Lang’s son would hold the same weight. Still, the thought of having Lang’s son return is a possibility that has gained steam over the last few weeks.
Over the holidays, TMZ caught up with Jordan to ask him his thoughts about having Wilder join the cast as Clubber Lang Jr. Jordan told TMZ that he would be interested in having Wilder join the cast. However, he did have a few questions about Wilder’s size. Given that Wilder is 6’7 and Jordan is 6’0, it may be difficult to make up for the size difference. To put that into perspective, Dolph Lundgren’s Drago was seven inches taller as he towered over Stallone’s Balboa in the infamous Rocky IV film. Only time will tell if this turns out to be a real possibility.
