There are few things that we can all agree on, but this is true for nearly everyone. This dating sh*t? This dating sh*t is unnecessarily hard. Fortunately, multi-talented artists like Naomi Wild and Tempest are providing a soulful soundtrack for the ups and downs of today’s dating scene. This week, the accomplished duo has reunited for a track called “So Gone” that effortlessly tackles the all too common practice of “ghosting.”
“I wouldn’t leave you in the dark/I wouldn’t leave you in the cold/Don’t tell me this was all for nothing,” she sings.
“Crazy you would do that to me/I wouldn’t leave you in the dark.”
Tempest and Naomi Wild have a strong record of producing memorable tracks. Most recently, they teamed up on “Whose Love.” The track earned co-signs from influencers like Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber among others. The vulnerability and relatable nature of their anthemic records are easy for listeners from all walks of life to keep hitting the repeat button. In the process of creating their latest joint release, Naomi Wild and Tempest pulled from Drake’s 2015 track, “Jungle.”
“‘So Gone’ was inspired by Drake’s ‘Jungle,'” she tweeted.
“We wanted the Drake effect and we did it, but we made it ours. We made a song and then made a song on top of that song. God was in the room for every session. This was the song that made me realize that we really do this. Tonight, we share that with you.”
“So Gone” certainly lives up to the hype. Check out the latest collaboration from Naomi Wild and Tempest below.
