July has subtly been the most eventful month in music this year. Thus far, Drake, J. Cole and Travis Scott have all teased or released new music. More recently, One Direction released new content and Justin Bieber announced new dates for his 2021 world tour. Not to mention, the Queen is releasing a new visual album next month. Adding on to the list of massively successful commercial artists to release music this month, Taylor Swift has returned.
In a somewhat surprising move, Taylor Swift has released a new project called Folklore. The sixteen project comes with a single feature from Bon Iver.
In addition to releasing a new album, the pop star has released a new video for the project’s second track, “Cardigan.”
“The entire shoot was overseen by a medical inspector, everyone wore masks, stayed away from each other, and I even did my own hair, makeup, and styling,” she said when talking about video.
We’re a decade into the Taylor Swift era of pop music and it looks like there’s no signs of slowing down. Check out her latest project, Folklore, below.
