
Gervonta “Tank” Davis is planning to fight WBA Super Featherweight Champion Hector Garcia in Washington, D.C. on January 7, 2023. Three months later, he plans to fight lightweight contender Ryan Garcia in Las Vegas, Nevada. With those two fights, Davis could contend for “Fighter of the Year” honors at several publications. However, the Baltimore native is not planning to end his year in April.
Gervonta “Tank” Davis hopes to fight lightweight contender Shakur Stevenson or Devin Haney in the third or fourth quarter of 2023.
“I got two opponents in mind,” Davis said when asked if he would like to fight in the third or fourth quarter of 2023.
“You know who.”
When the names of Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney were presented, Gervonta “Tank” Davis did not hesitate in expressing his desire to fight either boxer.
“Got it,” Davis said when Stevenson and Haney were presented.
Before Davis can think about fighting Ryan Garcia, Shakur Stevenson or Devin Haney, he must beat WBA Super Featherweight Champion Hector Garcia. Their showdown is scheduled for January 7, 2023 at Capital One Arena. Middleweight Champion Demetrius Andrade, Jaron Ennis, Rashidi Ellis and Vito Mielnicki Jr. will also step into the ring in Washington, D.C.
